After a long walk around the hills on the periphery of Anfeh and its olive groves, he wanted his portrait to be taken near the ancient olive oil mortars at the port.

Après une longue promenade autour des collines de la périphérie d'Anfeh et de ses oliveraies, il a voulu que son portrait soit pris près des anciens mortiers à huile d'olive au port.

Tripoli, Lebanon.

Before coming across these giant olives in a market in Tripoli, I had only encountered this size once in the past, with a childish astonishment, in a humble Iraqi garden, in the town of Rutba, the western gate of Baghdad, in the middle of the desert!


Avant de tomber sur ces olives géantes sur un marché de Tripoli, je n'avais rencontré qu'une seule fois dans le passe cette taille, avec un étonnement d'enfant, dans un humble jardin irakien, dans la ville de Rutba, la porte ouest de Bagdad, au milieu du désert !
