Intent of installation
The "Riders" are founding symbols of modern nation states &"Warriors" of liberation struggles.
They are also touristic map elements of their respecting cities Palermo (via della Liberta-Giardino Inglese), Athens(Stadiou str.-National History Museum), Cairo (El Goumhouriah str-National Theater), & New York(Union Square-Brodway str., Manhattan).
All elements raise from the periphery to the center from south to north, east to west, some fundamental questions around nationalism, heroes and their respective visions, blindness, successes and failures...
