Yarun, Lebanon.



Roni, from a small village in Southern Lebanon reminded me more of a storyteller than anything else, with an immense love for his land and perhaps some bitterness veiled by a slight permanent smile.  He took me up a hill to show me some ancient caves that had probably been inhabited since prehistoric times, then told me he would never leave his village because he was needed here. But I'm not sure whether he ever wished to leave or stay and be a police officer!

Roni, d'un petit village du Sud-Liban m'a évoqué plus un conteur qu'autre chose, avec un immense amour pour sa terre et peut-être de l'amertume voilée par un léger sourire permanent. Il m'a emmené sur une colline pour me montrer des grottes anciennes qui étaient probablement habitées depuis la préhistoire, puis il m'a dit qu'il ne quitterait jamais son village, car on avait besoin de lui ici. Mais je ne suis pas sûr qu'il ait jamais souhaité partir,ou bien rester et faire le policier !
